In America many choose to celebrate the season with a Puleo Christmas tree, but this family firm’s reach is now very much a global festive affair…

Christmas is all about family and spending time with those that we love, and back in New Jersey in 1954 one American wife and mother picked up an artificial tree for her home which was to change the face of festive tree production in the States.

Little did she know at the time, but when Marian Puleo stood in front of her box-fresh new tree, dreaming up ways to make it as beautiful as possible for her family, it would go on to inspire a business. Soon the Puleo family was producing artificial Puleo Christmas trees in their garage. Within just three years the business had grown so much that they moved into new premises, and the rest is Christmas history.
Puleo International now has bases across the world, although its headquarters still remain in New Jersey, and the firm is known as ‘the oldest family name for Christmas trees in America’. Puleo Asia will be exhibiting at Harrogate Christmas & Gift , bringing a wealth of new trees and outdoor décor pieces for customers to enjoy.

According to Adrian Yapp from the UK team, sales of Puleo Asia’s flocked trees have seen a steady increase year on year, with a broad range that has something to suit all tastes.

“For trees of beauty, quality and splendour, a visit to our show stand in Hall C is a must,” he explains. “Visitors will be able to view ten new exciting trees and our latest creations of pre-lit wreaths, garlands and swags and table top trees for 2023. And our dedicated sales team will be on hand to help create the right programme for you.
“For those wanting a grand tree with a light dusting of flock, the Berkeley Spruce is the one. This tree is ideal for all those who like to dress their tree to the max, and the seven-foot version gives you 2046 tips to hang all those delightful coloured baubles. Stand back and then see this tree in all its glory.

“The Snowy Yukon Pine has been the leader in flocked trees, with its strong PE tips and large cones nestled cosily into the branches. Enhancing the appearance, are delightful LED globe bulbs – all in all this tree speaks beauty, nature and warm.
“For those wanting thick tips and plenty of flock, the Colorado Spruce gives you just that. It’s life-like snow also gives a real wintery feel as though flakes have just fallen.
“It might be slim-line, but the Slim Northern Fir instantly grabs your attention due to its indexed configuration. The mixed tips give it such a unique appearance and it’s ideal for those wanting a tree that makes a statement, even in smaller rooms.
“New for this year is the Aspen Pine, offering a completely different look to the Slim Northern Fir. The index shape is quite accentuated, it’s ideal for those who want to highlight those special baubles and again ideal for the smaller room.
“Finally, continuing to lead the way in premium green trees are the majestic Kensington Pine, the noble Washington Valley and the imposing Northern Fir. All are truly beautiful and will captivate those who love capacious, stirring, true to life trees, all making different statements in appearance.”
