Christmas wishes are powerful things, and for those who dream of lighting up their homes with a beautiful, incredibly realistic artificial festive tree, Puleo is often a first port of call.

At the Christmas & Gift show this year Puleo Asia Ltd will be showcasing an incredible 14 new styles of trees, with another seven established designs having been enhanced with either new lighting, reshaping or tweaking the shade of green. 

But for those who know the heartwarming story behind this now cult Christmas brand, it will be little surprise that those all-important small details remain key to the Puleo success.

The company was founded back in 1954 when housewife and mother Marian Puleo purchased an artificial Christmas tree for her New Jersey home. She wanted to create the most magical festive display possible and thought up creative ways of enhancing the tree with handcrafted details. 

Her dream was to celebrate the season whilst gathered around her tree with loved ones, but together the family took that dream further and began a Christmas tree business at home, at first working from the garage.

Four generations on the Puleo brand is still family owned with bases all over the world.

Back at Harrogate, and for 2024 Puleo’s two majestic trees of the Kensington Fir and the Washington Valley remain the flagships of the range. Their presence in any home makes a bold, grand statement, and once decorated they both become even more imposing.

New this year is the Iowa (pictured) and this design is for those who want to strike a pose. The PE branches leap out from the body of the tree to give a wonderful natural looking fir that you can visualise parading a mountain coppice. PE artificial trees have a 3D appearance which means they look extraordinarily realistic.

Also new is the Parque, with its copious array of short needle PE tips gently cradling small cones. Portraying a classic ‘A’ shape this tree brings freshness with a distinguished look.

The Vermont design is also unique, incorporating the natural look of the prominent tips you could find on a live tree, intermingled with fluffy cashmere type tips and an outpouring of new short needle ones, which is bound to prove incredibly popular with customers.

Visitors to Puleo’s show stand will be able to ‘walk the tree line’, taking in the wonderment each design has to offer – whether it be designer, traditional, majestic, homely, and pre-lit or unlit.

Complimenting the range, as always, will be abundant quality wreaths, garlands, swags and mini trees. And the experienced Puleo staff will of course be on hand to advise and help create a sales winning range for customers.
