Harrogate Christmas & Gift show: Hall C, Stand C2
I caught up with sales director John McVey who, as usual was very upbeat about his company’s prospects for 2024. Once again showing in Hall C at Harrogate where buyers will as usual be able to view Shatchi’s exciting new 2024 ranges. The company took the decision to NOT exhibit at Spring Fair, so orders will need to be placed at the Harrogate show.
Despite a challenging 2023 where the U.K. Christmas sector had to contend with supply chain issues, the impact of the war in Ukraine and other U.K. issues such as the impact on the cost of living, Shatchi report that their sales were up on 2022 and that they saw an encouraging sell through from the majority of their customers, although a little bit patchy in certain areas.
With a varied product range, main categories will include artificial trees, fibre optics and LED lighting. Last year their Coronation party range was totally sold out well before the big occasion.
Like many of their competitors, Shatchi’s buying team visited China and also attended the April and October Canton Fairs.
Always known for value-for-money items, John and his team look forward to seeing both old and new customers on their stand in Hall C.
