Must See at Christmas & Gift: Floralsilk

Inspired by the magic of childhood stories, Floralsilk’s Christmas & Gift show stand promises to be poignant and memorable for 2026. Sarah Welsh spoke to head of marketing Kirsty Gaunt

Floralsilk has been a veteran exhibitor at Christmas & Gift over the years – why is the show so important to you as a company?

Christmas & Gift has always been a hugely important date in the Floralsilk calendar. It’s the perfect event that allows us to present our new collections in person, enabling customers to experience the quality, detail and scale of the products firsthand. More importantly it gives us the opportunity to connect with our customers and meet many new ones!

Many of our customers return year after year so it is truly a delight to meet them again at Harrogate and walk them through the new collection.  We strive to inspire and excite our customers so in turn they can inspire and excite theirs and Harrogate is the best place to do that.

You’re one of the main attractions in Hall B for 2026 – what can you tell us about your show stand and the visual merchandising inspiration you’ll be bringing to Harrogate?

This year our stand will be fully merchandised into distinct themes, taking inspiration from the magic of childhood stories — those timeless narratives that evoke warmth, nostalgia and imagination. Each themed area will tell its own story through colour, texture and detail, helping retailers visualise how the collections can be translated into immersive in-store displays. Our aim is to spark creativity, offer practical merchandising ideas and remind visitors why Christmas décor should feel truly magical.

How important is Christmas to the company as a category?

As a brand we want to bring joy into consumers’ homes and Christmas décor is a perfect way of delivering that. Over the years Christmas has grown to become a significant category for us and one we love to build on year on year – our customers rely on us to bring newness and innovation and every new collection delivers on that, with this years’ range including at least 45% new designs.

Is this something that has grown significantly in recent years?

Yes, it has grown significantly. Demand has increased as consumers invest more in their homes and seek high-quality, long-lasting decorations. At the same time, retailers are placing greater emphasis on innovative collections and trusted suppliers, which has helped maintain Floralsilk’s strong growth momentum within the Christmas category

Please can you give some detail about your decorating themes – colour inspirations etc?

Every year we do extensive research into up-coming trends, alongside a deep understanding of what our customers and the end consumers are looking for.  This allows us to create a collection, organised into clear themes to help the customer navigate easily through our biggest ever collection. Each collection is generally curated by complimenting colours, materials and finishes – which in turn inspire our customers as to how they can merchandise in their own displays.

What exciting new products will you be showcasing at Harrogate?

For 2026 we will be introducing new statement wreaths and garlands, as these always prove incredibly popular. Tree skirts to complement our artificial Christmas trees is a new addition to the range, and we’ll advent calendars and shatterproof baubles. Building on the success of bouquets on our consumer website, we’ll also be launching seasonal bouquets as part of the collection

What perennial best-sellers always go down well at the show?

Our faux wreaths and garlands and floral stems always do well and tree decorations of course! Every year we bring newness which is always a strong seller too if that counts.

And will you also be exhibiting at Spring Fair?

Not this year – Harrogate is our focus for 2026. But we will be showcasing some of our spring product at Harrogate.
