Brand new website 100% committed to the Christmas Decoration and Seasonal Supplier and Buyer

Whilst our two magazines Christmas in January and Christmas in February have been published for the two shows – Harrogate Christmas & Gift and Spring Fair, we have long felt that we should have a website to better reflect what is happening within the industry throughout the year.

The only source of information that 100% concentrates on the Christmas Decoration and Seasonal industry and the many products that make up this market place. Whilst Christmas decorations and all of the allied products are principally sold from the 1st October onwards, there are of course many developments that occur all year round.

The key shows that we highlight on our pages are the Harrogate Christmas & Gift show in January, christmasworld – the international Christmas décor show in Frankfurt that opens at the end of each January and of course Spring Fair at the NEC in early February each year.

Christmas in January first appeared in print in 1989 when an increasing number of Christmas companies were exhibiting at both Harrogate and Spring Fair. Over the years this market has become increasingly fashion-led and colour-led with companies ringing the changes each year with different colour palettes and fresh ideas with different materials being used to promote Christmas products.

The Christmas decoration market has also benefited over the years from breakthroughs in animation and electronics. Lighting products have become safer and more hard wearing, enabling suppliers to offer fantastic quality at prices to suite all pockets. Increasingly, the Christmas experience has given garden centres their second biggest quarter of sales, second only to the sale of their plants and summer furniture and barbeques.

That is why the Christmas in January web-site offers suppliers an ideal platform to promote their products to our many subscribers. It is also a source that can be used for Christmas suppliers looking for new sales and marketing people as all serious Christmas suppliers will know of our site. This year round online site will work closely with our two print editions in January and February.
